Corporate Social Responsibility & Environmental Commitment

At CMP, we believe that business success and social responsibility go hand in hand. Our Corporate Social Responsibility commitments are deeply integrated into our operational ethos and strategic objectives.

Social Value Commitment

Creating Social Value is at the heart of how CMP operate, from the way we support our people and local communities, to the partners we work with. We are committed to delivering meaningful social impact by:

  • Supporting our local communities through partnerships, employment opportunities and charitable initiatives
  • Promoting wellbeing, equality and respect within our workplace, offering healthcare plans and delivering webinars on topics such as trauma-informed approaches and neurodiversity
  • Creating fair and inclusive opportunities for employment, training and development, including hybrid and school-hour roles and exploring apprenticeships and continuous professional development options
  • Becoming an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT), aligning salaries to national averages and being an accredited member of the Real Living Wage Foundation
  • Supporting the Armed Forces Covenant

Net Zero Commitment

At CMP, we believe that every organisation, no matter the size, has a role to play in combating climate change. As a business, we are committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2030.

We are taking meaningful steps to reduce our environmental footprint through the following actions:

  • Improving our energy efficiency by using low-energy and smart technology
  • Reducing paper and going digital
  • Encouraging low-carbon commuting options such as carpooling, electric vehicles and the use of public transport, as well as offering hybrid and remote-working options.

We are committed to measuring our carbon footprint annually and continually improving out practices.

Our Environmental Commitments

At CMP, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and integrating sustainable practices into our operations. We:

  • Minimise paper use through digital processes like e-payslips, cloud storage, and file sharing, and recycle all paper where possible

  • Reduce energy and water use by switching off equipment when not in use, using energy-efficient products, and managing heating and cooling systems with timers

  • Limit travel to essential journeys, promote train travel and video conferencing, and support staff in using electric vehicles, with a charger available on site

  • Use environmentally friendly products for cleaning and refurbishments, and recycle or responsibly dispose of all materials

  • Donate used IT and office equipment to schools and support local charities through regular fundraising

These actions reflect our wider commitment to responsible business and continuous improvement.
