Charities & Non-Profit

Helping mission-driven organisations navigate conflict, protect trust and support their people

Protecting purpose through stronger workplace relationships.

In purpose-led organisations, unresolved conflict can affect not only teams, but the communities and causes they serve. With limited resources and deep personal investment, tensions can build quietly and become difficult to address.

We support charities, social enterprises, membership bodies and non-profits with impartial investigations, skilled mediation and tailored support that reflects your values and context. Whether you’re managing a grievance, addressing a culture issue or supporting a leadership transition, we bring clarity, care and credibility to the process.

Our work helps organisations move forward with renewed connection and stronger alignment to their mission.

Trusted By:

CMP has worked with national charities, community organisations, and non-profit bodies focused on health, education, human rights and the environment.

“We worked with CMP to provide training and development for people in the organisation who were deeply engaged with equality, diversity and inclusion and culture change. The participants all found it incredibly useful in terms of building practical skills and insight alongside being able to build up their bond as a team. The knowledge and expertise that CMP bring to their training is exemplary and I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone.”

Leading national charity

Description

A leading national charity working in the conservation sector was facing a serious internal breakdown. Conflict within a high-profile leadership team had stalled a major strategic change programme. The situation had become increasingly disruptive, with HR and senior managers spending significant time on damage limitation, while reputational risks began to emerge externally. Internally, the working environment had become strained, with stress and overwork taking their toll on team members.

CMP was brought in as a trusted external facilitator to assess the situation and provide a roadmap for resolution. Through a neutral assessment process, we identified the core relational issues and delivered structured, phased interventions — including one-to-one coaching, small group mediation and large-scale facilitated meetings — to rebuild working relationships and restore focus.

The intervention led to a significant and sustained improvement in team morale and effectiveness. Executives and stakeholders re-engaged with the strategic goals, and changes in leadership style helped foster a more open, future-focused culture.
