Workplace Grievance Mediation Services
Formal grievances are an unwanted disruption for any organisation. They bring with them a large amount of stress, upheaval and financial consequences. In many cases, grievance mediation can be an effective intervention, to prevent conflict from escalating and build resilience to future issues between your staff.

Expert workplace grievance mediation services as an alternative to formal procedures
We'll work with you to uncover the key issues underlying a raised formal complaint. When the parties involved are willing to participate, this can be a favourable alternative to rebuild the damaged relationship and develop actionable solutions for all involved.
Refer a grievance case for mediation
We provide the fastest possible response when a grievance is raised, delivering an expert mediator on site withing 5 working days. Our grievance mediators provide psychological safety in which staff can voice their concerns and gain an improved understanding of the other person’s needs. In doing so they’ll work towards favourable outcomes for all which prevent the need for a formal process.
Train to carry out the grievance mediation process
We believe responding to grievances using mediation requires a level of formal training in order to enable success. We run regular scheduled courses on our Professional Workplace Mediator programme, and also offer a wide portfolio of grievance mediation courses which can be delivered in-house.
Group Mediation Services when Grievances are made
Grievances may be collective involving a group of staff members, or a single grievance can have an impact on a larger group of staff. Colleagues often take sides and may get involved when issues arise, which can have a wider impact on team productivity. Our expert group mediators are equipped with the skills and expertise needed to repair and rebuild.

How can mediation help tackle issues of bullying in the workplace?
Grievances are raised for a number of reasons, and in some cases a formal procedure is essential. However, in many situations, mediation offers a favourable alternative through which underlying relationship issues can be identified and resolved.
Mediation can take place relatively quickly and within a fraction of the time and cost of a formal procedure. You’ll also save a great deal of stress and resources which a formal process would induce.
Throughout the grievance mediation process, our mediator offers a neutral positioning and will at no point adopt a blame mentality. The process does not seek to establish who is right or wrong, but rather develops an increased understanding between the individuals and favourable ‘win-win’ actionable solutions.
Thanks to our experience and the quality of our grievance mediation service, we proudly report a 97% rate of achieving a positive outcome. A successful grievance mediation not only helps resolve the issues that currently present, it also makes the relationship more withstanding to future stresses and disputes.
Refer a grievance case for mediation
When you decide to outsource a grievance mediation case to CMP, the first stage will involve individual meetings between our expert practitioner and the parties involved. The purpose of this is to establish each party’s own perspective, and build a level of trust and rapport ahead of the joint session.
We typically allow 1-2 hours for each initial meeting, and then will schedule a joint session (usually a full day) at the earliest convenient time. During the joint session, the grievance mediator will facilitate a conversation to build an increased understanding between the parties, and work towards actionable solutions that deliver a favourable outcome for all.
Workplace Mediation for Team Disputes
A grievance can have a wide and negative impact across a team, or entire organisation. Team productivity and performance may drop, as staff become emotionally involved or distressed by the issues that they see. Such instances can be incredibly difficult for management to address, and an untrained intervention may even make matters worse.
Our team of expert group mediators are equipped to provide a prompt and tailored response. They are our most highly experienced mediators, who understand the complexities and unique conflicts which can develop amongst larger groups. They are also trained facilitators, and such have the skills and expertise needed to lead a full group intervention.
